Patrick Kennedy Helped Send the 1996 NY Yankees to the World Series, in Black-face

The New York Yankees had not won a World Series since 1978. In 1996, they faced a strong Baltimore Orioles team in the American League Championship Series. Thanks to Patrick Kennedy's catch from the stands of a Derek Jeter fly ball, the Orioles never recovered and the NY Yankees won the World Series.

Fate works in mysterious ways. The New York Yankees went on to win the World Series again in 1998, 1999, and 2000. The Baltimore Orioles have not made the playoffs since that fateful series in 1996. Derek Jeter was voted Rookie of the Year in 1996, makes $20,000,000 a year, is an 6-time All-star, and dated Mariah Carey. The Orioles outfielder who lost the ball to Patrick Kennedy, Tony Tarasco, never recovered from that game. He last played for the NY Mets in 2002; he had a seizure following a game in the parking lot of Shea Stadium. On top of the seizure, he was also busted for possession of marijuana twice.

Patrick Kennedy went to the game in black-face, dressed as Bernie Williams. Williams ironicly hit a game-winning home run in 11th inning.

Are these funny? Let me know.
