Has the love affair with Cindy Sheehan and her allies in the media finally soured? Have they tired of her "troops out of New Orleans" type gibberish that spews from her mouth like a broken sewage pipe? I heard barely a peep in the local news about Miss Sheehan's visit to New York, but I counted on über-liberal Newsday and it's freebie, AM NY to herald Sheehan's visit as the second coming.
Much to my surprise, the article on her speech was way back on page 8, after Pataki's trip to China and the Emmy Awards. A month ago, she would have been on the front page, back page, sports, and classifieds. The biggest surprise was the article itself, it went like this: Cindy...Crawford...son killed in Iraq and then the rest of the article was about Gary Qualls and his anti-Sheehan movement. I have highlighted the parts of the article (above) in blue that represent the anti-Sheehan coverage versus the pro-Sheehan coverage.
Maybe Newsday has turned a new leaf and will clear its pages of the anti-military/Catholic/Republican filth that we are used to! Nah, who am I kidding?
