Campfield: Stuck on Stupid

I wrote about Rep. Stacey Campfield and his attempt to join the TN Black Caucus here. I noted that his request was turned down because "he is white". The same argument was used in Lethal Weapon 2 to rebuff Detective Murtaugh and his desire to travel to South Africa because "he is black".

Campfield had a good argument, he represents a large amount of minorities and he could better serve them if he was more in touch with their needs and issues. Then Campfield went off the deep end and got stuck on stupid.

“My understanding is that the KKK doesn’t even ban members by race,” said Rep. Stacey Campfield, adding that the KKK “has less racist bylaws” than the black lawmakers’ group
