I noticed this strange line in an AP article in today's paper.
So being reelected with 23% more votes in 2004 vs 2000, increasing the majority in the House by 29%, expanding to an 11 seat majority in the Senate, and holding a 6 state lead in governorships shows signs of political damage? It would seem as if the political damage was done to the other side of the aisle. An incumbant President usually can only dream of the AP's "political damage" that befell Bush in the 2004 election.
